250,000 OLPC XO Laptops for Indian markets

After the $10 laptop debacle, the One Laptop Per Child project has stroked back in the news arena with the new agreement from the Indian Government. January last year, a report on a disagreement between India and OLPC project was all over the web. Now, a year’s gap has brought a lot of positive changes, being lucrative to both the Indian Government and the non-profitable foundation.

According to Art Technica, India has joined hands with the OLPC organization to bring 250,000 XO laptops for the students in 1,500 schools across the country.
